Our Story
Expanding Horizons Farm began to plant roots in Fort Collins in the summer of 2015. Our original camp was held at a single location. We had horses, chickens, pigs, lambs, cattle, a garden and even CAM the RAM! This was such a wonderful way to start our journey and learn stewardship. In November of 2017, we had a tragic barn fire on that property, but all praise be to God, not an animal was lost in the fire!
For the summers that have followed we have partnered with several different locations. Each location has served as a backdrop to the overarching theme that we are exploring that day. We haev partnered with Happy Heart Farm, Council Tree Covenant Church, Northern Colorado Feeder Supply, Lynchland Stables, Imekke Stables, Town and Country Stables, and Smoke Stack Pottery.
Since our humble start, we have experienced substantial growth in numbers but more importantly WITHIN THE HEARTS AND LIVES OF OUR PARTICIPANTS! We have seen over 120 students engage in agriculture, learn the science in Creation and grow closer to God.
